“Be careful what you ask for, because when you get it, you have to make it work.” Since President Obama has been in office, the Republicans have complained about his policies, his initiatives, and everything he has done. Our president has delivered on many of his promises, and has improved the economy, and kept the citizens safe at home. The president has lost the majority in both houses, but still he has had more victories than defeats.

In 2010, President Obama lost the House of Representatives to the Republicans, and in 2014, he lost the majority in the Senate. Since 2008, the Republicans’ goal was to make President Obama a one term president, and obstruct every policy and law he implemented. Many consider the president to be an outsider, who happens to be Black, and does not fit the usual model for the president of the United States.

But in the seven years that President Obama has been in office, he has achieved almost everything that he promised he would do, and there is a long list of his accomplishments.  He was able to get the Affordable Health Care Act implemented which gave 30 million more Americans health care insurance. He reformed student loan programs, ended two wars, passed reasonable policies with Cuba, established a Consumer Protection Financial Bureau, and hundreds of other laws and policies.

The president will go down in history as one of the greatest to hold the office, when the dust settles, and he receives a fair and impartial assessment of his accomplishments. But, mid-term elections have been brutal for the president, and the Republicans finally got what they have fought so hard for. In 2014, the Republicans won the largest majority in Congress in fifty years, but there is more dysfunction and paralysis, then every before.

When the Senate was controlled by the Democrats, the House controlled by the Republicans, the legislature was able to circumvent one problem to the next. But now we find the House without a Speaker, and it appears that no one wants the job. To many in the House, this is a dead end job, where you get all the headaches and no one says thank you.

Many believe that the almost Ex-Speaker of the House John Boehner was pushed out of his position by a small group of radical Republicans, who are not willing to compromise, and have no idea what they really want. Instead of the Republicans working as a unified party, the different caucuses appear to be at war with each other. The new laws on financing are steering millions of dollars to different representatives, who have a far right ideology.

Instead of the Republicans working for Americans, and getting transformative bills passed, there is gridlock in both Houses. Speaker John Boehner has resigned from his position, and the Republicans look silly as they bump into each other, not knowing their next steps.

It is very easy to talk a good game, but it is extremely hard to execute your plan. The Republicans now have the power, but everything is at a standstill, because they never had a workable plan for America. Conservative Republicans are refusing to compromise, and reach over the aisle to get things done.

As long as the different caucuses in the Republican Party act like spoiled children, nothing will get done in Congress. President Obama will continue to meet his objectives and goals, and work his magic. It is easy for the Republicans to keep saying that the president has not done anything, but in the real world, Republicans are doing nothing and making a huge mess.

There are 17 months left in President Obama’s time in office, and his legacy is a testimony of his worldview of diplomatic negotiations. During the past eight months, he has ended the isolation of Cuba, opened a dialogue with Venezuela, advanced a strategic trade deal with Asian countries, and cut a nuclear deal with Iran.

To the Republicans and certain countries around the world, they will spend their time looking for ways to discredit and oppose everything the president has done. “This agreement is a historic mistake for the world” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a first reaction to the agreement. “Far reaching concessions have been made in all areas that were supposed to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons capability. In addition, Iran will receive hundreds of billions of dollars with which it can fuel its’ terror machine.”

Nothing in these statements is true and based on facts, but the Republicans will support the Israel prime minister before they will support their own president. Just based on the president’s achievements in the last eight months, it would appear that someone in the Republican Party would acknowledge the president’s successes. But instead of receiving congratulatory statements, the Republican leadership keeps saying the president is all wrong, and he is not doing anything right.

In a press conference last week, CBS White House correspondent, Major Garret, asked a question to the president that was disrespectful. President Obama chastised the reporter by calling the question nonsense, and told him, “You should know better.”

Garret said, “Can you tell the country, sir, why you are content with all the fanfare around this deal to leave the conscious of this nation, the strength of this nation, unaccounted for in relation to these four Americans?” the correspondent asked.

The president became visibly frustrated with the reporter, and explained that our diplomats are working every day to bring the four Americans home, and he did not want to tie the nuclear negotiations with their release. This reporter had crossed the line, and the president let him and the rest of the Republicans know that he is sick of their foolishness.

Nevertheless, numerous Republicans are threatening to scrap the nuclear agreement with Iran. But everyone in the West will benefit from this agreement because it will close off Iran’s path to a nuclear bomb. President Obama has made it clear to all his critics if they have a better plan, they should submit it because the military option is off the table. The critics have been wrong from the very beginning with the nuclear deal, and now that the president has completed the deal, the critics are still talking.

“Instead of stopping the spread of nuclear weapons in the Middle East, this deal is likely to fuel a nuclear arms race around the world” says Boehner. “Obama has adopted a flawed perspective to the talks reaching the best deal accepted to Iran, rather than actually advancing our national goals of ending Iran’s nuclear program” says Senate Majority Leader, Republican Mitch McConnell.

Again, based on no facts to substantiate these claims, our Republican leaders are talking foolishness. The magnitude of problems in the world should force the Republicans to be thoughtful and make sense. But when Donald Trump is leading the Republican Party for the office of president in 2016, no one in the party is thinking anything but foolishness and a good show.

A rocky road lies ahead for the nuclear deal as it is considered by US lawmakers. If Americans would stop listening to the negative Republican foolishness and chit-chat, they would understand how the president is transforming the world. In 2008, President Obama promised Americans that his administration would re-establish our relationship as a world power, and he is bringing it to fruition in 2015.

“Justice needs to be served. What I think people of Baltimore want more than anything else is the truth. That’s what people around the country expect” says President Obama. On Friday, May 1st, at a press conference, 35 year old Marilyn Mosby, the state’s attorney for Baltimore, said that Freddie Gray’s arrest was illegal and there was probable cause to file manslaughter charges against the police officers involved.

“This is a great day, and I think we need to realize that. I think a message has been sent by our state’s attorney that she treasures every life, that she values every person” said Representative Elijah E. Cummings, Democrat of Maryland. But the problem with police officers’ cases across the country is that they walk out of court free after the trial.

In Florida, George Zimmerman was charged with murder, and Trayvon Martin had no weapon. Yet, Mr. Zimmerman walked out of court a free man. The judicial system is set up for police to win, and I don’t think the new Baltimore state attorney does not have enough evidence to make her charges stick. Everyday Black men and women are arrested with no probable cause, the charges are fabricated, and they stick.

There is no way the judicial system will allow six police officers to be convicted by evidence that they control. In order to maintain and control the residents in the city, the power brokers will let a rookie state attorney sooth the community with speculation that something is going to change. But illegal arrests happen every day in Baltimore and across the country to Black people, and not much will change. There is $40 million a year spent in that one community to police the residents, and they always win.

When President Obama calls the rioters ”thugs and criminals,” he sends a message to the police and media that most of the residents who live in that community operate from an illegal mindset. Even though he is talking about 1% of the population, the media gives the impression that the majority of the community is violent, and they will break the law if given an opportunity.

The police are always ready to protect their own because they operate as overseers in the community. Instead of building relationships, mending broken fences, and working as public servants, they violate the law and cannot be trusted.

The six officers that were arrested treated Mr. Gray as a criminal with no rights, and treated him less than human by handcuffing  him and shackling his feet. The van driver, Officer Godson, received the most serious crime: second degree murder. Lt. Brian Rice was charged with manslaughter, assault, misconduct in office and false imprisonment. Officer William G. Porter and Sgt. Alicia White were charged with manslaughter, assault and misconduct in office. Officers Edward M. Nero and Garrett E. Miller were charged with assault, misconduct in office and false imprisonment.

There were four stops, and conflicting stories, but the system is broken and Black people are considered criminals. In all probability, Mr. Gray died in the van and his treatment was standard operating procedure. It would be very hard to convict someone who never received any blows from a police officer.

President Obama wants justice, but no one knows what justice really is or what it looks like. Ms. Mosby has good intentions and Blacks must continue to vote people with her character into office. But justice may just be a trial where the police are told to go to a class on interpersonal relationships, and then allowed to walk out of court a free person.

The tension between the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean countries has not really changed for one hundred years. The Caribbean countries believe they have been ignored by America because they are small, poor and Black. And, many of the Latin American countries do not trust America because many of their political systems are socialist, and at any time the U.S. can initiate an overthrow of their government.

On Wednesday, April 8, 2015, President Obama started a grueling itinerary for three and a half days in Jamaica and Panama. He is the first president since Ronald Regan to visit Kingston, and the country is extremely proud of this historic trip. During this visit, President Obama discussed energy, security and trade with other Caribbean leaders.

Many analysts argue that the key reason Washington is suddenly paying attention to the Caribbean countries is because we are competing for their oil business that Venezuelan controls. “As Petrocaribe is unraveling, the U.S. is taking advantage,” says Michael Shifter, president of the Inter-American Dialogue think tank in Washington. “The Caribbean islands have to look elsewhere for energy.”

There are no easy answers for the Caribbean islands because there are no major industries that contribute to their economic growth and development. The majority of these countries economy revolves around the tourist industry, and the residents remain poor. Most of the people need jobs and no one knows where to start.

After meetings and discussions in Jamaica for 24 hours, the president went to Panama. In Panama, the country hosted a Western Hemisphere summit where all 35 countries attended, including Cuba. There are four countries: Cuba, Iran, Sudan, and Styria that are identified as terrorist countries in the world. There is discussion right now inside the State Department as to determine if Cuba should be removed from the list.

Three years ago, President Obama, at the Western Hemisphere summit, left arguing against inviting and allowing Cuba to attend. This year Cuba attended the summit and President Obama met with President Castro on Saturday. At the meeting, the two presidents tried to make recommendations to normalize relations with the two countries.

This is President Obama’s third summit, and he is bringing along $1 billion in foreign aid to assist Central American countries with security and economic investments. The Latin American countries wanted America to remove the economic embargo against Cuba, and take the country off the U.S. terrorist list. President Obama appears to be listening, and the two countries are moving forward.

The United States and Panama have also signed a deal where the country will purchase 61 of the U.S. airplane giant’s 737 aircraft. John Earnest, a White House spokesman, says it means that 40,000 new jobs will be created at Boeing, General Electric and other businesses. The new 737-MAX jets have a list price of $106 million, and the atmosphere this year at this summit are a lot more smiles.

Even though there are better relations at the summit, there are still major issues that must be resolved if the Latin American economies continue to grow and prosper. Drug cartels, immigration issues, government corruption, and monetary policies are being discussed at the summit, but there are no easy solutions.

There is still tension with the United States and some of the problems go back fifty to one hundred years. The countries speak different languages and their political systems are different. Is President Obama reaching out to his neighbors in the Western Hemisphere because China and Russia are making historic deals, or does he really care about the condition of the countries and the people?

“Today, after many months of tough, principled diplomacy, we have achieved the framework for that deal. And it is a good deal. It will make our country, our allies, and our world safer” says President Obama on April 2nd in the Rose Garden. This is a historic agreement that is still being ironed out by P5+1 powers. The P5+1 consist of the United States, Russia, China, United Kingdom, France, and Germany.

President Obama’s statement came after negotiations in Switzerland announced that they had reached a framework for a deal. It is obvious that at any moment any member in the group can decide to break off the agreement and refuse to sign the deal. The goal is to have the agreement finalized by June 2015, which is not far off.

At the Rose Garden, the president discussed some of the details of the framework, and also outlined in a fact sheet the deal that was distributed by the White House.  There are many critics on both sides of the agreement, and some Republicans are saying that the president is making a deal with the devil. Israeli intelligence officials released a statement shortly after the framework was announced that the United States was “disconnected from reality.”

It is too early for anyone to have a position on the agreement without reading and studying the deal in detail. Iran is a major power in the Middle East, and it is better to work with diplomacy, than fighting a war with this country. War is expensive, people die, and no one really wins.

President Obama addressed some of Netanyahu’s concerns in the Rose Garden by saying, “It’s no secret that the Israeli prime minister and I disagree. This is the best option and I believe our nuclear experts can confirm that. There is no daylight when it comes to our support for Israel’s security.”

The president has directed the White House’s national security team to work closely with Israel, and address any concerns about potential threats. But, Israel has certainly not made any friends in that part of the world, and there are times when they are the aggressor. Iran has stated that they want death to Israel, and it appears that at any time the two countries can start a war.

With danger at every turn, President Obama said, “Iran has met all of its obligations. Iran has agreed to the most robust and intrusive inspections and transparency regime. This deal was not based on trust. It’s based on unprecedented verification.”

In this agreement it seems that many of the details for a nuclear plan are covered with a long timeline. To begin with, certain provisions will be in place indefinitely, and other agreements will be implemented in phases. Some provisions will be in place for 10 years, others 15 years, and some as long as 25 years. This deal is not just made between Iran and the United States, but other major powers in the world are included in the agreement.

The major powers in the world and the United States will help keep Iran honest, and make sure there is no cheating. “Iran will never be permitted to develop a nuclear weapon. In return for Iran’s actions, the international community has agreed to provide Iran relief from certain sanctions,” explained President Obama. If Iran violates the deal, the sanctions will be snapped back in place.

The sanctions were hurting Iran’s economy and the residents were devastated on many different levels. The agreement is a win-win for everyone involved, and the president will give Congress oversight over the agreement. The deal is moving in the right direction, but it is not completed until everyone signs the agreement.

Last week, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed a joint session of Congress, and was greeted with thunderous applause, which lasted his entire speech. Israel is considered one of America’s strongest allies, but the relationship between the two leaders at this time is strained and chilly.

To begin with, Speaker John Boehner invited Prime Minister Netanyahu to speak to a joint session of Congress without contacting the White House. The speaker did not follow proper protocol, and this action drove a wedge between the two parties, and showed disrespect for the president of the United States. Netanyahu is also behind in an election campaign in Israel, and President Obama did not want it to appear that America was supporting the prime minister.

Either way, Mr. Netanyahu argued for an hour, that President Obama was putting together a bad deal with Iran, and he must be stopped. Even though no one knows what the deal is because it has not been finalized, the prime minister knows more than the president.

With dire warnings, a call to action and maybe war, the prime minster has tried to make it appear that Iran is the only aggressor in the region. But everyone seems to have forgotten that Israel last year devastated and destroyed the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip in a war where it will take decades to rebuild the country. Israel is holding the Palestinians as viral prisoners, controls all commerce and trade, and forces people out of their homes.

It is very easy for the prime minister to make it appear that Israel is peaceful, but Netanyahu’s speech was designed to create more war hawks, and start a war in the Middle East. By denouncing the Obama administration’s nuclear negotiations with Iran as a waste of time, many Americans don’t know who to believe. From Mr. Netanyahu’s perspective, Iranians are terrorists who must be controlled with sanctions, and peaceful diplomacy is not possible.

He told American lawmakers that Iran dominates the capitals of Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen and the United States should demand that it stop aggression against its neighbors and threats to annihilate Israel before agreeing to any deal. “We must all stand together to stop Iran’s march of conquest subjugation and terror” says Mr. Netanyahu.

President Obama responded to Netanyahu’s speech by stating, “The prime minister didn’t offer any viable alternatives.” The president called the speech “theater” with no good ideas, and in theory, military strikes against Iranian facilities. “The alternatives that the prime minister offers is no deal, in which case Iran will immediately begin, once again pursuing its nuclear program, accelerate its nuclear program without us having any insight into what they’re doing without constraint.”

President Obama is trying to keep the lines of communication open with Iran and the Middle East because war is never a good solution. It is obvious that Israel is planning for another war in 2015, and they are willing to go alone without support from the West. Israel is not treating the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip as peaceful neighbors, and diplomacy is off the table.

Israel has the most powerful army in the Middle East, and they will bomb any country located near their borders into submission if they are challenged. Mr. Netanyahu made it clear that Israel is ready for war, and they will win because they are the strongest.

President Obama is trying to stop the rush to war in the Middle East, and Mr. Netanyahu appears to want the opposite. War is a bad negotiating tool to create peace where there has only been bloodshed. America should continue to let President Obama lead the way, and support him in his negotiations with Iran.

The insanity never stops with the Republicans because they are angry that an intelligent Black man is president of the United States. The attacks will never subside when they know that President Obama will go down in history as one of the greatest presidents of all time. The Republicans will never admit when President Obama took over office, the country was heading for a major depression under President Bush.

By the grace of God, and the wise leadership of the president, the economy is improving; the unemployment numbers have been lowered and people are beginning to find work. President Obama took an impossible situation, and created a new paradigm where more people have an opportunity to succeed through diversity. There has never been a president who has promoted more women, Blacks, and Latinos to positions of power in the federal government.

As the president continues to live his dream as one of the most powerful men in the country, and the world, ex-Mayor Giuliani states that President Obama does not love America. Everyone knows this is a ridiculous statement, but many Republicans support the allegations. “I do not believe—and I know this is a horrible thing to say—but I do not believe that the president loves America,” Giuliani said at a New York dinner.

This statement makes no sense, but we must remember that the attacks must never stop because strategically, that is the plan. Also, we must remember that the attacks do not have to be based on facts or truths because the goal is to tear down the integrity of the man, our president.

“What I’m saying is that in his rhetoric, I very rarely hear him say the things that I used to hear Ronald Regan and Bill Clinton say, about how much he loves America. It sounds like he’s more of a critic than he is a supporter,” says Giuliani.

It is obvious that Giuliani has selective hearing, and he is not listening when the president is talking about how a bi-racial man of humble beginnings, can rise to the highest office in the land. Maybe he is forgetting the slogan “Yes We Can,” which transformed the way the internet can raise millions of dollars with $10 and $25 donations from millions of Americans. Every day the president wakes up, he thanks God for being born in America, and the opportunity to be the first Black president in America.

There is no reason to try and change the empty rhetoric from Giuliani because this is not the first time Republicans have tried to question the president’s patriotism. Back in 2007, President Obama’s love for his country came into question because he was not wearing a flag pin.

“I decided I won’t wear that pin on my chest. Instead, I’m gonna try to tell the American people what I believe what will make this country great and hopefully that will be a testimony to my patriotism,” says the president in 2007.

President Obama is working every day to improve the country, and give all Americans the opportunity to live a better life. America is not perfect, but the president loves the country with every part of his being.

Everyone has an opportunity to criticize the policies and the ideology of the president. But to attack and criticize the president’s patriotism and love for America is wrong, and he deserves an apology. In order to build a more perfect union at times it is necessary to create a new paradigm shift, but your love for what the country stands for is never diminished.     Bill

Last week President Obama gave a speech at a cyber-security summit organized by the White House at Stanford University. Stanford University is the hub where the internet was discovered, and Silicone Valley became the innovative engine for technology achievement and creativity. It is where young technology genius became millionaire entrepreneurs overnight.

“The Internet is providing new opportunities for innovation and to connect citizens and corporations, but also opens new vulnerabilities. The only way to defend against those is for government and corporations to work together. The government cannot do this alone. The fact is that the private sector can’t do this alone either,” says the president at Stanford University.

The government is at war with the internet, and corporations don’t have a clue to what kind of information they should share. In the last two years, hackers have infiltrated some of the largest companies in the world and exposed personal data to 100’s of million customers. No one has any idea how to catch the majority of these criminals, and they have no idea where they are located in the world.

Earlier this month, a hacking attack on health insurance giant, Anthem, exposed the personal data of up to 80 million customers and employees. This breach follows similar large-scale attacks at Target, Home Depot, and J.P. Morgan Chase. Every large company lives under the cyber-threat of an attack, and the leaders of the businesses are caught between a rock and a hard place.

All the major companies in America would like to collaborate with the government, but whistle-blower Edward Snowden has shared information that the government cannot be trusted. He proved with facts that the National Security Agency has infiltrated the networks of major internet companies and worked to undermine security standards. Some reports have even suggested that the NSA have led cyber attacks on other countries around the globe.

It is very difficult for many companies to believe that the government has cleaned up its’ act and now they can be trusted. All major US companies sign consumer privacy notices with their customers, and the companies need to know what the government will do with their customers’ information.

In his speech, the president acknowledged that the government’s track record has not been good when it comes to privacy. President Obama has asked Congress to pass a reform bill that would control some of the government’s surveillance capabilities.

“I have to tell you that grappling with how the government protects the American people from adverse events while at the same time making sure the government itself isn’t abusing its capabilities, is hard,” says President Obama. Many large companies have created encryption practices so the government cannot go on their network and gain information about its’ customers.

After the president gave his speech at Stanford, he signed an executive order on stage to promote information sharing both within the private sector and between the private sector and the government. The order establishes the Department of Homeland Security as the agency in charge of handling the information sharing.

At this point, this is new territory for the country, the citizens, and the DHS. Cyber-attacks and cyber-threats is the new war that the US is fighting on the internet. There is a new and different world out there in the universe, and the president must lead the way. We must learn to trust each other, because battles will be won and lost on the internet.

There is an up-roar in America because President Obama was telling the truth at the National Prayer Breakfast. Somewhere in the American mind we only want to hear the good things that happened in our history. But our president was historically correct when he acknowledged during the Crusades that people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ.

“Humanity has been grappling with these questions throughout human history. And lest we get on our high horse and think this is unique to some other place, remember that during the Crusades and the inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ. In our home country, slavery and Jim Crow all too often was justified in the name of Christ,” says President Obama in his speech at the Prayer Breakfast.

It is time for Republicans, Democrats and Conservatives to acknowledge that slavery was an inhumane institution that was morally and politically wrong and justified by the Christian church. This year, America will celebrate 150 years that African Americans have been free from slavery, but the majority of Americans will try to sweep this knowledge under the rug.

Most Americans refuse to have a discussion about this period in our history, and have tried to block out racism and discrimination as if they never existed. By blocking out the reality of slavery, old wealthy American families never have to explain how they became so rich.

Former Virginia Gov. Jim Gilmore, a Republican, said this: “The president’s comments this morning at the prayer breakfast are the most offensive I’ve ever heard a president make in my lifetime.” Russell Moore, president of the southern Baptist Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission said Obama’s remarks about Christianity were an unfortunate attempt at wrongheaded moral comparisons.”

It is easy to run from the truth because most Americans are hypocrites. They’d rather take the easy way out and accept a fabrication of facts. There are very few fact checkers and information is generally accepted if the person is considered an authority.

In our information world, no one knows who to trust or who to believe. The conservatives will continue to believe that the president is divisive, and America will be a better place if we turned back the hands of the clock. But when America goes backward, overt racism and discrimination was prevalent, and Black people were lynched.

This is obviously the wrong way to go and America must move forward and accept the evil, unfair systems that were created as a result of slavery and Jim Crow laws. It is easy to run from the truth, but in a democracy the goal is to work toward “a more perfect union.”

“And certainly for me, this is always a chance to reflect on my own faith journey. Many times, as President, I’ve been reminded of a line of a prayer that Eleanor Roosevelt was fond of. She said, “Keep us at tasks too hard for us that we may be driven to Thee for strength.” I’ve wondered at times if maybe God was answering that prayer a little too literally,” says the president.

It is easy to have all the answers when you are on the sidelines and giving your advice. But the president is never on the sidelines because he is the quarterback and he is calling all the plays with help from his assistant coaches.

Americans may not like the raw truth, but we all must be reminded of the historical atrocities of the Christian history and American history. These stories are never easy to tell, but our leaders must correct the problems of the past so our children can live in a more ethical, moral and fair world.

As the Senate Judiciary Committee begins its confirmation hearing for Loretta Lynch, it is no accident that President Obama has picked the first Black women attorney general for that post. There are many members of Congress, who are angry and disgusted with Eric Holder, the present Attorney General. Many felt that Mr. Holder was not responsive to their request, and his interruption of the law challenged their fundamental beliefs about race in America.

Many of the Republicans did not agree with Eric Holders position on the use of executive orders, voting rights, and executive action on immigration. They argued that the president and the attorney general were too friendly, and this federal agency lacked transparency and cooperation with Congress.

Sen. Chuck Grassley said, “A renewed commitment to transparency and accountability at the Justice Department will depend largely on the actions of the next leader. The tone set by a new attorney general could be a turning point in the relationship between the department and Congress.”

It is obvious that the Republicans had wanted Eric Holder to resign, but the president always had a reason and purpose why Mr. Holder was chosen for the job. Under President Obama’s direction, Mr. Holder could challenge and fight corruption and discrimination, and say things that the president could not say because of his position.

Ms. Lynch is an esteemed United States Attorney who was appointed by President Obama on May 3, 2010, for the Eastern District of New York. Her first tenure as U.S. Attorney was from 1999 to 2001 under President William Clinton, where she was a member of the Attorney General’s Advisory Committee, serving as Co-Chair of the White Collar Crime Subcommittee.

During her second tenure, she oversees all federal criminal and civil investigations and cases in Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, Nassau, Suffolk Counties and Long Island. Ms. Lynch has expanded the office’s leading national security practice into the area of cyber security, and has made community outreach a priority.

Ms. Lynch has worked on many high profile cases, and in the Long Island office she was the lead prosecutor in a series of trials involving allegations of public corruption. She also served as a special counsel to the Prosecutor of the ICTR, and conducted a special investigation into allegations into allegations of witness tampering and false testimony at the Tribunal.

In the majority of cases, Ms. Lynch was successful, and she is a big proponent of legal education. She graduated from Harvard Law School in 1984, where she was a member of the Legal Aid Bureau and Harvard Black Law Student Association. She is a frequent instructor for the Department of Justice in their Criminal Trial Advocacy Program, and served as an Adjunct Professor at St. John’s University School of Law.

At the Senate Judiciary Committee hearings, Ms, Lynch has been extremely articulate, steady under pressure, and answering questions with the full command of the facts. Her record and experience is extremely impressive and she is a polished performer. Nothing has come up in the hearing or in her record that can be considered negative, or be questioned.

Ms. Lynch will be confirmed by the Congress, even though there is a majority of Republicans in both Houses. She is the most qualified U.S. attorney in the country, and she will have no problem enforcing the policy’s that Mr. Holder has initiated. She will continue to fight discrimination and corruption, and she understands that she is an engaged and beautiful Black women.
